Carthage is one of the 52 neighborhoods of Cincinnati, Ohio.  It has a strong community sense and there are many community activities planned throughout the year including a community wide tag sale and a Halloween Bash at the Hamilton County Fairground.  Located west of the I-75 and north of downtown, this neighborhood has been around for over 150 years. According to the History of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, Carthage was settled in the late 18th century and was for many years one of the most important inland towns in the county.  It was incorporated as a village in 1868 and became a part of Cincinnati in 1911.
The biggest attraction in this neighborhood is the Hamilton County Fairground. For a week every August, the Fair is the epicenter of Hamilton County.  The fair has been bringing excitement to the area for over 150 years.
Carthage is a great small town that has become a part of the city of Cincinnati. It is convenient to all the amenities of the big city but retains its small town feel and vibe. It is an affordable alternative to downtown living.
